Ground movement at night

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Given the strength of Allied air, is the ability of the Axis to move ground units at night modelled somehow ?

A bit - interdiction in Winter is modified to allow for longer nights.

It actually varies by month according to the manual based on hours of sunlight.

But it seems like varying the effect of interdiction based on season only addresses the case where units are assumed to move both day and night?

If you wanted units to move only at night to avoid interdiction, it seems like it should affect the movement rate (with movement depending on the season), not the interdiction levels (which should be zero).

There was a lot of discussion and different things worked through getting to where interdiction and movement is now. Interdiction used to be much more vicious than it is now.
