New book. Snow and Steel. The Battle of the Bulge 1944-45

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

New book. Snow and Steel. The Battle of the Bulge 1944-45

Post by JWW »

By Peter Caddick-Adams. It was published in November. 928 pages in hardcover. I have the Kindle edition. It has received good reviews. I've read the first two chapters, which are describing the genesis of the German plan for the operation. Very interesting so far, though I have not read enough to give you a full opinion of the book. Since it just came out, I thought I would mention it though.

Review of the book and another recent book about Bastogne at link.

Got it for Xmas. I have about 20 other books in my queue I have to finish but I can tell you I thumbed through it (hardcover) and it looks to be a real winner. Very high quality and Oxford usually does great stuff.
