Bumping Akitsuki up to CL?

Would it affect performance or mission a great deal if I changed the designation of the Akitsuki class from DD to CL? For example, if a CL has depth charges will it still use them against subs just like a DD will?

Yes, it will still use the depth charges. I have had the Atagos attack subs.

I'm not 100% sure though I believe depth charge equipped cruisers can't be in ASW task forces. They will attack subs in any other type of TF they are in if a sub is detected.

In that case I'll leave well enough alone. No pressing reason for the change. Just liked the idea of classifying the Akizukis as CLs. [:)]
