Making decent progress with a pure alt_naval scenario based on Hakko Ichiu now [:)]

Hey Alikchi, how is progress coming so far? If you need any additional art I'll be happy to help out where I can.

How easy IS it to paste data from the editor? I haven't figured out a way to copy and paste data from one scenario to another, and have had to type everything in manually for my "Mers-el-Kebir Accords" scenario.

That's pretty much done by the way - I'll send the scenario to you if you're interested.

I'm definitely interested! Send it over.

I've been able to copy & paste data using the Cut, Copy and Paste buttons on the left below the sheet, but by no other method. If there's a way to open .scn files in Excel or similar that'd be great.

Thanks! I'm pretty close to done, actually. All ships have been added except the destroyers and PGs.

Oh, and the subs. I should do that for the sake of completeness.. but I love my submarine-carried floatplanes. [:(]

Try the instructions in this thread to download the Scen files to Excel and reload them back into game files. Spacing is important.

Thanks Buck!

Here is the Alt_Naval fleet, completed except for the submarines. Scenario 36. If anyone could have a quick peek and make sure there aren't any glaringly obvious problems, it'd be much appreciated.

Bumping this with a completely unrelated question. I've always wished War Plan Orange had been ported to AE (or at least improved with some of the later WiTP patches). Would it be possible to do this as a mod, with the caveat that it requires some previously-installed WPO data so it's not effectively piracy?

Thanks General Patton!

I'm starting on the submarines now. Few other tweaks left to do after that:

Reduce Nagato-class tonnage and armor to reflect these BBs not getting their mid-30s refits
Increase range on Suzuki and Yoshino CLs to ~5000

Also, some stuff I'd like to get feedback on. As this is essentially a pie-in-the-sky, IJN has hindsight scenario, it makes sense that the IJNAF might be rationalized as well, or at the very least slightly different.

My thoughts:
- Cancel the Jack and move up the A7M by 6-9 months.
- Have some more Mabels in the pool, along with small starting Mabel production - plus two of the CVLs will have their Kates replaced with Mabels. (No real good reason for this, I just like the diversity.)
- Speed up the arrival of some other IJNAF AC by 1 or 2 months. Just a little extra edge to represent more rational resource allocation.

I will leave the Army and IJAAF untouched.
