WIN 7 problems

Hi all. A Google search indicates that it's not unusual to have trouble running TOAW 3 in Win 7 but I tried a few things and they haven't worked so I thought I'd lay it out here in case anyone can help.

I just built a new system and am having trouble getting patch 3.4.whatever it is (the last one) to run. I had burned my original download from (2007ish) onto a DVD and re-installed that but it runs in a poxy little window. When I attempted to apply the latest patch it won't run at all (The PLAY option on the splash/start screen) does nothing.

I'm no PC expert but I tried running in XP compatibility mode and/or running as administrator and nothing worked. As a result, I'd like to try applying each patch consecutively. Is there a repository of all the TOAW 3 patches?

Thanks in advance for your help. I'd like to get this sucker up and running again because I've been playing it since TOAW 1 in 1998 [;)]
