Malaria bases?

Post by Oleg Mastruko »

Exactly which bases are "malaria bases" that slowly deplete units?

I remember reding somewhere on these forums that northernmost Australian bases are "malaria bases" too? What about Luganville and bases immediatelly north of L'ville? What about Nevea in Santa Cruz islands?

Thanks.

All bases are malaria bases except Truk, Noumea, Brisbane, Rockhampton, Townsville, Cairns, Goro, Basse-Poya, Koumac and Charter Towers.

I've read that Nevea was one of the most malarial places in the area and that US engineers sent there to built a base had a very high sick rate and were finally withdrawn and the base project was dumped. Now, does UV model the different intensity of malaria in different places, too? Or is there the same danger at all malaria bases?

I believe any base in the Malaria zone suffers at the same rate of attrition.
