INDIA: [/font] I finally managed to get the old ladies some work. The 'R' class bombard Colombo and do some damage, but nothing like what I was expecting. It is a clear hex, but the spotter didn't get listed in the report, so maybe that was a factor. Or something I've been wounding about a bit in this Babes mod game; are forts stronger? Seems the Allied air forces that I remember decimating my ground forces hardly make a dent in anything that's dug in. Maybe that's a result of the better flak as well as the reduced bomb sizes. From what i'm experiencing here I'd say they're getting really close to the mark, and that makes the game fun and challenging. I can't just turn on the 4Es and pulverize everything turn after turn, and even BBs won't completely wreck a place like I've seen from the other side.
The next few turns will be interesting. I'll land a US ind. regiment at Colombo, where two bigger base forces and a garrison force are being worn down slowly. Then two of the big Chindits will land on the base, hopefully where the troops are already highly disrupted, and I hope will take the base. I've got 3-4 units of brigade size ready to move over to add on in case they don't, all fully prepped.
Armor will move into Ranchi tomorrow. Patna is overflowing with troops now, and they're ready to fan out to whatever other bases have been left undefended.
There bomber groups take out separate fragments of the same unit blocking the rail between Patna and areas to the E and NE. Interesting.

CENT PAC: [/font] Nick jumps the USN 4Es at Mili and downs 8 P-39 escorts, but the bombers get through for an anemic strike.

SO PAC: [/font] The APAs are about ready, so soon I'll try to move up to the more fortified area of Buin and Torokina. Nearby bases have fields but aren't quite ready to host the necessary groups to protect a big fleet.

CHINA: [/font] Supply is actually flowing up into the mountains past Srinagar and pooling at the little base up there. it's 9 hexes from Kashgar, so I'll start flying supply once the base force arrives in about a week. The first Corps is about a month away coming from Urumchi. Crazy, but worth a shot.
