Help on Map Display Settings

Help on Map Display Settings

Diving into Distant Worlds after a 2 year absence; purchased universe...so far so good. But have encountered problem...

System names, empire influence, and ship/fleet vectors do not show up on the main display. I tried the buttons above the mini map in the lower right side, explored the display settings, and I have tried various starts from pre-warp to old but no luck. I do play with mods, but I have tried a clean install as well. I am certain I am missing something obvious but would like to fix this problem...is there a setting or set of buttons I am missing?

From the main game menu.

Options - Advanced Settings - Clean Galaxy View (at the bottom).

You have to go to main menu to see this option.
