Two things I would like to see

Post by W Thorne_MatrixForum »

First is to have battles with the option of no timer. I understand that the timer adds a certain amount of pressure in the game but I would also like to see other ways to win or lose. Destroy the enemy or capture certain areas are two that come to mind.

The second is when a unit is attacking or defending when things start to go bad they seem to route to easily and retreat IMO way to far. I have seen infantry groups retreat over a kilometer too quickly. If the enemy is attacking and making progress it should take a lot of effort and manpower to break through a defended line. In a game of this scale the retreats should not be so profound. Or, am I all wet on this and not handling my forces correctly?

As regards the 'no timer' idea, as I understand it (and I stand to be corrected here) you could use the scenario editor/creator program and modify the scenarios yourself without too much bother.
Thankyou for using the World Wide Web. British designed, given freely to the World.
