Bombed myself? Nope. Sneaky German

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Bombed myself? Nope. Sneaky German

Good thing I helped him miss. I have an invasion coming up. But there is damage to the port. Seriously though. It looks like the germans are bombing me? That's just mean.

The more I play this game the more I love it [:)]
It would be really cool if the germans could score points as well for bombing England.

I had no idea it would happen during my air phase. Perhaps it didn't but it looks like it.

Read the port rules. 5% port damage cuts port capacity by half, slowing prep points. To be honest, this wasn't an original dirty trick by me. Some other sneaky German player did it to me. I was in the middle of prepping too. So the credit goes elsewhere. You found out the way I did, by the bug in the air phase results. Otherwise I may not have noticed it.

Well that explains where your bombers went when I visited their airfield. My vengeance will be vengeful. [:'(]

I see you've been busy. Repairs underway. Leigh-Mallory pilloried in the dockyard.

I was that other sneaky German that did it to meklore. But it was originally done to me by AWGreif in beta when I was allied.

Heh, that trick led to an update with the addition of balloons barrage over the ports ...
So the results will not be anymore as heavy as in first test [:(].

It looks like a display bug.

Btw, there is no use in bombing port with Amphib HQ as it will be instantly repaired next logistics phase.

Just to be clear, it is the Port that will be instantly repaired next log phase?

In game turns I agree, but psychologically if they don't expect it, it can be a little unnerving. PsyOps! And I thought it helped the Axis morale because I laughed so hard I almost forgot that vp wise Germany can't win this since I'd messed up garrisons early on. Don't steal my thunder![;)]
