Invasion Planner - ZIP File in WAR ROOM Forum

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Invasion Planner - ZIP File in WAR ROOM Forum

Post by Dereck »

I created a spreadsheet that will allow me to determine how many prep points are generated by a port each turn based on what I have prepping by port size.

It will also:
o calculate how many turns before 30,50,60,70,80 and 90 prep points are achieved
o calculate the date(s) from a current/proposed start date when the above prep points will be achieved, and
o allow an tentative invasion date set and show when planning should start based on port size

It may not be perfect and may have bugs and if so please let me know but I thought some people may find it useful. Any feedback is welcome.

I had to rename the extension to TXT but just rename it to XLS and it "should" work.

-- I found out that in the WAR ROOM forum I can upload ZIP files so the ZIP file has been uploaded there.

You may have to spoon feed me directions on how to view this. I have it in a program that views .xls files, but when I open it, it show's only the underlying code for the page layout. Any ideas? I've renamed it, saved it as an .xls file, and still nothing. I don't have office either.

PM me with your email and I can try emailing it to you. It's an excel 2002 spreadsheet so hopefully it's readable by higher versions.

Can anybody tell me why I couldn't upload a ZIP file originally when I've seen other posts where ZIP files have been uploaded?

Thanks
