Between your topo map and this map I don't know which one is better. Fantastic work! Just a little question, however, is it possible to have this JATM map without the land hexes? I kind of like having no hex lines around. [:)]

Robert,

Did you get the off-map bases for RA and BTS ironed out? Would love to try getting that loaded and use it in my games.

Chemkid,
Thanks again for your wonderful work.

berto,

I think you can edit the bitmaps for color amount and color saturation.
I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager. It comes with Microsoft Office.

With it you can set numerical values for color amount and saturation.
Also, edit for brightness and contrast.
You need to edit each one by the same amount but you can get the darker green colors.
You can get them pretty gritty. It will take the color out of the ocean.
Stormy looking seas, etc; Like an old faded chart map.

Or any other picture editor should work for you.

dear SigUp, dear Trugrit,
thank you both for your comments.
the feedback for the hexgrid is very much appreciated.
since the mod doesn't (at least not very accurate) accounts for the hex-modifiers,
i think it's ok to turn off the land-hexgrid completely.
without the grid the landmasses are also a little bit easier (less action) on the eyes. [;)]

here are two links for the latest version of the 'Just Another Topo Map'.
it's still 'Preview 4' but it's got the Tagula typofix and some minor cleanup in both (stock and extended) versions.
the links include the hex and no-hex version.

JATM Preview 4 - TagulaFixed+Hex+NoHex (Stockmap)

JATM Preview 4 - TagulaFixed+Hex+NoHex (Extended)

best regards
robert
Thanks for your work! It's fantastic now.

Good to know I have that option.

I use Corel PaintShop Pro X7. I'm sure it would get the job done.

Thanks for the suggestions!

This is quite simply one of the best looking maps I have ever seen in ANY game. Great job.

while switching from JATM to Yamato Damashii and finishing my translation work i would like you to tryout
this brandnew colorscheme for Yamato Damashii (Rainy Day - a darker and more gritty feel to the map):
YamatoDamashii_RainyDay_v1_stock
it's a replacement for the 'stock-map' (extended will follow) - the zip-file contains hex and nohex version of the map.
FYI, the preview4 of JATM will be renamed to 'Yamato Damashii - Sunny Day' - nothing else will be changed.
I love it! The way I see it [8D], hardly gets any better than this:

OP is up-to-date.

I have your map and it is great. [&o]

Just wondering if I have the extended map properly installed, the Arabian Sea tiles are still the same as in stock?
Malaya and Solomons have new tiles.

extended and stock are not compatible(very minor but visible differences) - please make sure to exchange the whole sets.
i verified on my side, extended is working as should... if you're still having problems, please tell which version of the map you are using. thanks for trying the mod! [:)]

Did it again and now it is all there. [:)]

Thank you for this map! It truly is a pleasure to my eyes.
