B24s strike deep, at Kavieng, and this is the first real 4E matchup between the agile Oscar sporting dual cannons versus the beasties.
Lots of transport planes working away at Kavieng, and I thought it real possible the Deathstar would focus their attention here.
That Lightning squadron has gotten chewed up lately, once over Rabaul were Georges and Zeroes trashed them.

If he is, it may be a good place to fight him. Stack the Marianas full with fighters and strike aircraft and put the KB one hex west of Tinian.

Good CV battle is what we need
Good place to fight. You can have LBA support he not. LBA dont have big chance to get trough deathstar CAP but they can make havoc reducing it effectiveness. Especially low flying attack can force many fighter to go low giving some space to KB strike

No night bombing.
Heard at least 4 mine hits during the turn, one Yank sub listed as sunk near Manila. Subs rush into Guam and Saipan, which are mined, and I think one sub there may be sunk from something (air most likely). Lots of Aerial hits on subs in CentPac and also near Singers. I lost a 2 vp xakl at Guam, that was out as bait... Checking tracker show 2 mines consumed, with plenty of mine tenders, at Bataan. Truk lost some, but there is no mine tenders there anymore, as did Moulmein. My first success with mines in a long time. Interesting to note, that I drop minefields in small amounts as the larger minelayers are all coral reefs (except for one near the HI).
A destroyer nails another sub with a direct hit in the Singers area...
The Yank Deathstar moves all the way back to the Marshalls. Big move 18 hexes. Pity.[:(]
Great success in the AMc training program, at least a half dozen ships have improved either day or night experience just by being in a task force in port. However, all ships that improved had experience below 25, above 25 and no improvement. However, the AMs are out about, in task forces at ports, and they are increasing their experience even though it is in the 40s now.

Too bad. Keep it out of sight! Although it might have been spotted already if he high-tailed it back so fast. I've found my read on detection is not always accurate.

I don't think it was spotted, but I am sure he knows it is in the area.
Yanks have great detection levels on Guam and Saipan this turn...I searched the op report and no clue how he managed to get such good results. 34 -35 hexes from Roi Namur, so I guess he is using some of those really long legged recon planes. Naval search outside of the the bases doesn't exist.

Chengtu is online and producing HI after one day. However, spare supply is exceptionally scarce and it has no fighter protection. So far the Allies don't seem intent on bombing Industry, and I think have bombed oil or refineries only twice during the entire game.
I am going to try out some Helens at 6000 feet against Allied destroyers this turn...I wonder if they can hit?
I expanded -45 engines some more, not sure how heavy to go here since my main Army fighter will be the Ki202 and the Navy will be Sam J. Production is close to 400 a month now; close to 1000 in the bank. Expanded engines for the Nick D also...close to 60 per month.
I have three factories researching rockets...and it is currently accelerated to 6/45.

Heavy bombing in Indochina...normal bombing elsewhere.

Allies are still able to maintain high detection levels on Guam and Saipan. Highest on Guam, and I am a little baffled at how they are still there, being 34 and 35 hexes from closest allied base of any level. I wonder what I am missing?
In Indochina, the Air war continues to grind, with Allies continuing to bomb the front line bases heavily, and occasionally springing deep bombing raids. This turn, I moved another 200 fighters to Chiang Mai, and they will hopefully spring a surprise inflicting much damage while avoiding Thunderbolts.
I also moved some Oscar IVs forward at Ponape or Kusaie for the same thing. Moving some small destroyer forces to run in and try to sink Yank minesweepers, and of course, more supply is moving to the Central Pacific whose thirst for it seems unlimited.
KB to Pagan...Yank subs have moved well back from the Marianas, but may rush in (a tactic I always liked). The Empire has a wolfpack off Ramree awaiting a juicy target, and another south of Perth to nail the ports there.
I have come to the conclusion that flak, while it can protect bases, cannot inflict enough bomber fatalities, and I need to keep springing CAP traps at every opportunity to bleed Allied air power...the Ki-100-I will be better at it than the Tojo IIc which is now pretty much base defense. In this particular CAP Trap in Indochina, I have 100 Georges and 100 Oscar IVs, and after the trap, they will all rail back to Bangkok. I feel that this is really a cheesy, unrealistic, gamey tactic, but so what...it is a game after all.[:)]

Allied plane losses from tracker. Bear in mind they are somewhat inflated. I really need to inflict more damage, especially on his newer frames Jugs, Corsairs, Lightnings, and especially bombers.
I will be looking at setting up traps wherever possible in the upcoming months, and to defend against deep raids, perhaps have some roving sentais of fighters that shift bases every few days depending upon detection levels...need to think about that one a little more before I try it.
