Have heavy surface units in with the Amphib TF providing NGFS. It is best to have the older BBs, but CAs would do if needs be. The BBs absorb the attention of the coastal guns and usually are not hurt by them much (of course depends upon the size of the coastal artillery, but usually it takes something over 8 inches to hurt the BBs). This will allow your vulnerable AKs and APs to discharge their passengers and cargo with little attention (although never ZERO attention!).

This is quite good tip I never figured that you have good use for those older type of BBs and CAs I normally dont use them much as they are so much slower that new ships but in amhib TF it wont matter that much. [:)]

They have (or can have) enormous effect, it's not reliable, but you must use them if you have them. Just be sure they don't consume too much fuel. Unless you're American in which case there's no such thing as consuming too much fuel.

The effect is inconsistent, though, so don't stop just because you had one bad die roll, so to speak.

Another thing about those old battlewagons (American) is when you're doing a really big amphib operation; if you're sending a lot of CVEs in you should necessarily have a couple of them in some role.

its my experience supply burns on ships because it what I have seen not to say its 100% true. I did not program the game!

if you don't think its true load up...I just use ships in the same TF to carry the supply, ships carrying units always have supply with them anyway.
