I am pretty sure I told them to send EVERYBODY. Clearly some of my pilots were taking the day off.

Will that not try to send more than one strike per day? I am trying to avoid that second raid that has no fighters. Maybe I have it wrong though.ORIGINAL: meklore61
Just looking at your air options, I would increase your "strike number" setting from 1, to 99 or higher. I use the strike number 99 for most all my air strike numbers except for air superiority which I will set to 200 or 300. This number doesn't create too much morale or fatigue each turn.
unfortunately for the allies there is max cap on the amount of planes you can bring in a single strike. It looks like it is based on range to me. My latest bombing raid into Germany 700 bombers available, only 336 would fly.ORIGINAL: jonboym
Strike number won't affect the number of planes per strike only the number of strikes per day. To add more planes per strike up the mission pct in doctrine or increase the Req AC option in the AD advanced options.
If you want one big strike (best for strat bombing, particularly 1 hex raids) set num strikes to 1 and Req AC to 999. If you want lots of smaller strikes (good for interdiction over large area) then keep Req AC on auto and set num strikes to 999.
To prevent understrength raids you can use the Min AC setting in each AD to specify the minimum number of bombers and fighters, if numbers below these the raids won't fly.
