Wow. The carriers must have sprinted well down into the Coral Sea. These are some ships headed North from Sydney to help cover Lexington tomorrow. In retrospect, it would have been better to scuttle Lexington two days ago and get the lightly damaged combatants out. Hard thing to do.

Hokkaido raid:

We appear to be unspotted so far as we have no recon hits. Still, I think it is better to hit Bihoro tonight to take out the airfield and aviation support there.

That's a pretty gutsy move, all the more so after the disaster in the Solomons. Good luck!

BTW how are you going to get out of there?

The greatest risks to the BB's are aerial torpedoes from Kates or Bettys, both of which need a level 3 field plus an air unit....and from Vals with the ship-killers at short range.

Bihoro is level 4 and has aviation support at the start of the scenario but has no Air HQ unless one has already been shipped in. Bihoro is unmined at the start and has no aircraft at the start...but...of course..we have been at war for 3 weeks.

Sapporo is unmined at the start adn has no CD guns.

Tragically, we know where the great bulk of the Jap carriers are. I know I said that once ..but this time I am probably right.

Crap! I knew I forgot something. [;)]

East to the Aleutians where we have replenishment ships. Saratoga will cover the withdrawal in case JJ has a carrier on Honshu.

It is possible to circumnavigate Sakhalin but that adds several days and burns fuel. It may be possible to offer some LRCAP from Saratoga on the day 1 and 2 after the bombardment.

These guys. We aim to sap Japanese morale. JJ love these things. This time of year they will all be in the spa too.

I'm at least hoping that Foreign looking man in Hawaiian shirt has a good spit take coming soon when he hears about American boots on Hokkaido. [:D][X(]
