Now what???

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Now what???

Post by Mickrocks201 »

Met with some good success breaking thru fairly weakly held German lines in North Germany. I had hoped to reach the Elbe before bad weather set in, but in the last two turns my armor really broke thru and produced a narrow salient all the way to Berlin. While I am tempted to really strike Berlin now and bring the boys home before Christmas, I don't think I have the striking force to crack the Berlin Garrison. BUT, I fear that if I consolidate and expand the shoulders of the salient, the bad weather and German reinforcements will make the task so much more difficult. Feeling like Guderian at the gates of Moscow.... so close but not quite enough to decide the issue.

Any thoughts on how best to proceed? Wait for final push once I consolidate, bring up INF and ARTY? Try to crack thru now?

I'd say: get the RR lines repaired and build a couple of depots. Shorten the line. But well done!
