Crownd Rocks for Matrix's Titans of Steel Warring Suns Game
Titans of Steel Soundtrack to be Preformed by Alternative Rock Band Crownd
Woodbridge, NJ, April 23rd, 2003 -
Matrix Games (http://www.matrixgames.com) is proud to announce signing Alternative rock band Crownd (http://www.crownd.net) to play on our upcoming Titans of Steel Warring Suns game.
“I took my kids to see Crownd last month and what a show they put on. After the show I was introduced to the band and we talked about doing something together. After sharing their music with our development team, we felt it would be a perfect fit for our upcoming Titans of Steel Warring Suns game.” said David Heath, Director of Operations at Matrix Games, "We’re excited to have such a talented band working with us on this project."
Ariel Munoz, Drummer for Crownd, stated, “This is really turning into a banner year for us. We were thrilled when David approched us about working on a computer game. We went to their offices and David showed us the game and we loved it. The whole idea is still very new to us but we are really are thrilled to be part of this project.”
The Titans of Steel: Warring Suns™ universe is a future where the main fighting unit is the Titan Attack Tech, better know as the Titan-AT. Titan-ATs are generally humanoid in appearance, range from ten to fourteen meters in height and weigh as much as 200 tons. A Titan-AT can have an array of weapons including lasers, auto cannons, missile launchers and other specialty weapons and defensive systems.
Titans of Steel: Warring Suns™ allows you to design or reconfigure your own Titan-AT. There are 450 different Titan-AT types to start with, including 150 pre-designed Titan-ATs. Each Titan-AT has over 74 internal systems, electronics systems, 4 armor types, 20 chassis styles, 5 size classes (recon, light, medium, heavy, assault) and 29 weapon types ranging from conventional to exotic. Once you’ve settled on your perfect Titan-AT, you can share your design with other commanders.
The battle area has four map sizes ranging from small to huge. Interactive terrain features such as flammable dense forests or smashed ruins make the battle more dynamic. An auto-move feature allows you to concentrate on your weapon systems. Multiplayer support allows up to four players with thirty-two Titan-ATs to compete in Hot Seat, LAN or Internet games.
Titans of Steel: Warring Suns will be available June 2003.

ABOUT CROWND
In the fall of 2000, drummer Ariel Munoz, Guitarist David Diaz, Bassist Albert Denis and Vocalist Alfred Batista started to hang out and jam together. For one year they rehearsed every week to get as tight as they could while writing original music. In 2001 they formed the band CROWND, which is now known for its live and in-your-face original songs. In 2002 they played in over 45 venues of which included Autumn Blaze Festival in Zarephath, NJ to a crowd over 15,000. In 2003 Crownd won the New Artist Search in Nashville, selected for the 7 Project and will be at the Alive Festival. Their fan base has grown tremendously over the past 2 years, a testament to what they're bringing to the table. For more information, visit the Crownd's website at http://www.crownd.net

Though I'm biased I'm must state that the intro soundtrack is a brilliant peace of music. Great work Crownd !
Are we going to get a sneak peek (er...listen) of the soundtrack?
We sometimes catch a window
A glimpse of what's beyond
Was it just imagination
Stringing us along?
More things than are dreamed about
Unseen and unexplained
We suspend our disbelief
And we are entertained

Geez, seems nobody can get those numbers right. 10 to 14 meters? 74 systems? 29 weapons? I must have already corrected these numbers 4 or 5 times in different texts...
Heh heh, oops.

Hi Iceman
I will fix that on the box andon the web site now.... in fact we have a new website and screenshots going up tomorrow I think.
I must really tell you how impress I am with Kai, Henrik, Marc and the rest of the Vicious Byte team for the work they put into this game. I really think the TOS fans are going to be impressed.

Heh, sorry, I'm really tired from a long trip, and just had to read through pages of pointless discussions...
Good news about the site.
About the box text, I have already corrected them, that was one of the 4 or 5 texts I mentioned
Already sent the revised version to Henrik and Kai a few days ago, for further revision (including Matrix).
And yep, the guys are doing an AWESOME job. They're freaking out with the stress, but they're holding - these are seasoned jocks we're talking about

Pointless discussions can be fun sometimes. It doesn't always have to be serious.

On the contrary, fun is what we're all here for. But when in a given thread you start thinking 'i've heard this argument before... huh, 3 times', then it's not about fun anymore. Especially when it's about some other game - there are forums for MW3 and 4, and the discussion in question has *long* stopped being about ToS.
OTOH, *this* topic is starting to sound like the other topic, and this is a *sticky* thread, so from my part I'm closing this one too. Besides, I've got *work* to do if you know what I mean
and I don't feel the need to reply to each and every thread here. Not even to keep discussions going.
As for the real topic, never heard of Crownd.

To get back to the real topic, then, I'm trying to find some samples of their music, just to get an idea. Does their official site have any?

Having answered my own question, their site does have music samples, and they sound pretty good to me. I'm eager to hear their music for WS.
