Message: Not enough conventional memory for WIR. Can anyone
help? I have WIN98SE. Not sure how to configure .SYS file to
not mess up other programs. I would rather not use a separate boot disk just to play War in Russia. Thanks!

Are you trying to start the program from a win98 shortcut, from the msdos prompt or have you dropped to msdos mode and are trying to start it there?
thanks, John.

In Windows 95 or 98 surprisingly good results can be had by deleting everything else from CONFIG.SYS and only using the line:
STACKS=0,0

For those who have no need to network their computers, you can also add the line:
LASTDRIVE=<letter of your highest drive>

You might also want to check your AUTOEXEC.BAT file for un-needed things loaded into memory. If you are running the game from a DOS window inside Windows, you don't need to load a mouse driver or CD-ROM drivers: Windows takes care of that in higher memory.
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?
