Daughter's birthday today. Going to an indoor trampoline / laser tag center. Another 'opportunity' for dad to blow out some important tendons and ligaments in his knees! Stay tuned, kiddos! [:D]

So, counting it as a four day weekend, staying in and off the roads. There are crazy people driving on them!

I've not had a weather day off since...well..I never have.

A few years back there was a blizzard here that shut down the town. The governor declared a state of emergency and banned all road traffic. Still had to come in as we provide "emergency support" to hospitals & such [8|][8|][8|]

That's a stiff [chuckle] fine and punishment for this. Call me a skeptic, but I can't believe that this isn't commonplace in the military. I guess the military wants its smut in hard copy only?

When I was in the active Fire Service, there was no weather that could keep me in. Thirty years later, one retirement from the active Fire Service, and a butt load of personal time banked. I choose to stay home. Nice to be able to do that.
