Our close Allies, the French, have rushed troops into Antwerp and Brussels to help in the defense against the German aggressor. The Dutch continue to stand fast in Amsterdam. Elements of the Royal Navy have engaged enemy fleets of raiders and submarines NW of Scapa Flow. We lost 2 DD's, but gave them a surprise, sinking 5 SS, 2 CA and 2 DD's. We continue to resist these the German attempts to stop supplies from arriving from the Commonwealth!

The USN has seen Royal Navy forces far off in the stormy North Atlantic. We have not come in contact with any other vessels.

China has released thousands of troops to go home and plant rice. Peace, the first we have seen in years is a lovely thing. The Japanese have said they are open to negotiations, but we are not yet ready to think of the future. We are just enjoying the time of peace, and getting ready for the first peaceful Spring in years.

On the European mainland, Germany kicks out the jams in Amsterdam & Brussels. Attacks on Antwerp result in heavy losses for both sides.

The Luftwaffe bombs RN subs off the German coast with heavy losses for the British. However in the Atlantic, German naval forces engage the Royal Navy and come off second best....[:(]

Italy basks in the spring sunshine, though the sound of guns in the north is somewhat unsettling.
Are we like late Rome, infatuated with past glories, ruled by a complacent, greedy elite, and hopelessly powerless to respond to changing conditions?

I am now down to 12000 production in Moscow. Every time I upgrade Moscow it takes more production away in damage.

I am done. There is something wrong with this game. In my practice game no damage occurred when I upgraded a city. I am now done to half the production of my main city and it would seem no matter what I do I am not going to be able to improve my cities. This is intolerable.

Can you send me your save game file, the one before you login, and your login. It may be something simple, that I have done wrong, it may be something that Vic needs to adress. I don´t know for certain until I see it for myself.

Ok why is it I do my turn add the next turn to the drop box and a little while later the new turn is gone?

Next important question? Is anyone else taking damage to their cities when they upgrade them? That is a bug by the way, it is not supposed to happen.

Yes, it is a bug. I am working on the premise that Falcos version of ATG or my scenario file is corrupted. I have asked Falco to email me the file he used to start the game with. That is the GD1938 v221.at2 file.

If it turns out his file is currupted, the solution is to start over, if not, this is in the hands of Vic.

I have added industrial annexes to two cities. Is that what you mean by upgrading them?

I did not do any city twice. I never saw damage.

Some players Move the new turn from Dropbox rather than Copy it.

Thank you for that info Chuck. I think this problem is one that hits one or more players that upgrade the same city more than once. But I am unsure.

Turns out it was a problem with the Exec i was using to replace locations with. The hotfix that Vic made, v.220h fixes the problem. I hope you all are playing a non-steam version, or you may get this problem until the next patch made by Vic is public there....

As a side note, I also made an error in coding, that causes double damage to cities if they are damaged already and upgraded. So on aside, don´t upgrade something that is damaged.

That code will be corrected in my next version.

Yes, you can continue on this one. I don´t see you getting into any trouble, as long as you have the hotfix from Vic installed. :)

Uh...I am one of those players who move the new turn from dropbox to my ATG saved games folder. I open it in ATG, play my turn, save as next nation, and return the new file to dropbox folder, along with my new turn now completed going back to the old turns folder. I admit I am new at this, so if I've done it wrong I apologize. Should I be making a copy instead?

It can't hurt to copy it. Twotribes wondered where it was. Leaving it up there helps the other players realize about where in the game cycle the turn stands.

It is certainly not a big deal either way.
