Regulus Scenario Snorkeling?

I may be doing something wrong but I cannot get any of the American diesel-electrics to snorkel in this scenario. Is this a bug or dumb*** on my part?

Short answer is that no sub snorkels until battery is below 30%.

Long answer: Search this forum for diesel/electric sub behavior. There are several threads about diesel/electric sub behavior that will probably answer all your questions.

I have searched but without success.

In a high threat environment wouldn't it be prudent to have the option to turn snorkeling on and off? I would imagine a snorkeling sub is a bit easier to locate?
