Warspite

Compared to 1.52 and earlier versions this new version (if anything like 1.60 beta) will blow you away, the game is so much smoother. I hope you succeed getting through this tech difficulty, you will be glad you did.[;)]

I may have a solution. I had the same problems, did a complete re-install and the game played fine when launching from the install panel of the patch. I played a few turns and then exited. When I opened it again, I got them same error messages. Then I remembered the launcher did not patch until after a re-boot. I rebooted and everything's fine so far.

Yes, I repaired C++. Reboot is turning the computer off and on. To find out what sound card you have, run DxDiag from your "All programs" or "Run" in Start.

Hi Robert if you are still having problems running the game try this.


Step 1 : Right Mouse Click On The Games Short Cut On Your Windows Desktop.

Step 2 : Left Mouse Click Once On Properties To Open New Options.

If after running the game with Administrator authority, you can also try changing the games graphics settings, open the game as normal as if you were going to play, and do the following.


STEP 1 : Left Click Once To Select Change Configuration option.

it's a safe system file system cleaner and junk remover, also fixes registry errors

but it also shows what's running in the background, and get rid of junk files / dupes etc and removes traces on net files on a pc, so removes temp files not needed by windows, but it shows you what is and what isn't loaded in a easy view, plus many other tools

Just out of curiosity, what are these downloads doing or fixing that stops this one game from working?

How to get a Directx Dialog file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
6. open the text file, copy the contents, and post along with your issue.

this is needed for staff to see what if any errors are on your pc, it's also safe

nothing tbh, but what it can do, is show you what is and what isn't loaded, which helps others diagnose what's wrong, then suggest a solution or fix

Directx Dialog file would help no end also tbh

each tab checks a different part of the pc hardware / software etc, then give a report, so others can see what is or would could be the issue or causing the problem, then offer advice or tips to fix the given problem, for me it's for a guess a missing or corrupt driver or file etc, so reinstalling should have worked, bit it didn't, so as we know it has worked, then it's something else...

finding out what else then your on the way to fixing it.

for me once a game has been installed, it doesn't always leave stuff / files in one place, so when you uninstall it, there is always some junk left behind, that can hamper a re install or patch, so i clean the junk with a cleaner, then check to see if the game folder has also gone to be sure, then and only then, reinstall, plus if the game in question ask to install any extra bits so yes and repair or replace
