Update problem

I have been having a problem with the check update function for my Matrix games and wonder if anyone is having or had a similar problem. When I click check for update I get a message that update information cannot be loaded for the game and to contact Matrix. This has happened with all my Matrix games, Civil War II, To End All Wars, Distant Worlds and others. I went through the help desk and they said that the problem was at my end. It said I can manually download the updates. I tried but when I click on the link I get the "This page cannot be displayed" message similar to when my internet service is down, but only that page is affected. I have tried disabling my antivirus software, resetting my modem and restoring my computer to a prior point, but nothing works. Any ideas? Thanks.

Problem solved. My brother changed the firewall setting on our router, not my computer. He changed it back to the old setting and it works.
