No news?

Post by fran52 »

The forum is very quiet. Is decreased the interest for this game or we all wait Hero of the Pacific?
Until now there are no news about this game.
I'm working on a new version of the ASLmod for HoS.The main difference are in the tanks. In the actual version there is the possibility that a little gun ,like 37mm,can destroy a T34(not realistic)in the new is no more so.
After the tanks i want to check also the infantry but i would prefer to apply all this news on the new game.

I am still playing around with it. I have mostly toyed with the editor and can turn out decent maps now without too much effort. They are not professional but not bad. I was also wondering who is still playing the games as well as if there is any news on the new release.

I have been playing with both your mod and the East Front mod. Maybe the East Front mod a little more but not much. I am trying to get a feel for which one i like more. I am leaning to yours, but the added Hungarians and Romanians is a bonus in the East Front mod is nice.
I have been working on 2x3 map panel maps using Googlearth and getting good results. I thought that I might put a feeler out there and see if some people may be interested in a little co-op using HoS as the tactical game in a larger campaign game. It would be just 6 or so player vs my 19 yaer old son on the overall campaign but players vs the game's AI for the tactical part. just fleshing out some OOB now. I will have to take a good look to see if this is doible without a tremendous amount of work.

You guys do know that the next game in the series will not be published by Martix?
It's going to be published by Lock N Load Publishing:

Yes I know, but do we have any sort of a time frame yet? Might as well as play something as sit around and wait for who knows how long doing nothing.

From the start of this year there are mo news about Pacific front. The last message is:we are working hard to rewrite all the program(December 2014).
For Ratzki. My mod is done to convert some ASL scenario into HoS.The Rumanian remain but the Hungarian no.
On the other hand are few or nothing the scenarios with the Hungarian in ASL,there are more with the Italian.
Anyway,as explained at the start,i'm working on a new version more faithful to the ASL tanks system with a regard also to the infantry(for what is possible).Could be interesting which news there are into the new game before to finish the work.

I thank you for your hard work. It was a pleasure to see familiar counters being used. I know that there are others that appreciate the work that you have done.
