Well you're definitely making good progress at Truk. And with forts only level 3 now air bombing will be a lot more effective in disrupting troops. Next attack you make you should be able to get a Disruption(-) on the defenders I bet.

A lot of landings today.
Total bil in air was 126 Japanese planes for just 12 Hellcats.

Central Pacific HQ:

Invasion on Eniwetok was complete fail. My warships and main force did not arrive however 2nd wave made it and was trashed. 4th Marine Raider Battalion was annihilated. :(

2nd Marine Raider Battalion with 4 engineers units and 2 AA units landed at Biak at morning.

Empire responded immediately by sending a few very uncoordinated strikes escorted by big number of Oscars.
Most of incoming strikes were decimated by massive CAP of 276 Hellcats. A few bombers got to my ships but they did not have chance with massive allied flak ( each TF flak value over 22-25k).

B-24 and B-25 from Kavieng are continue they daily runs against Rabaul and Truk.

And one small success, a few AM,AMs cleared finally minefield in Rabaul.

Southwest Asia HQ:

Martin sent 24 Oscars to bomb my units advancing at Prome. Very bad idea, 20 Oscars lost to allied flak.

Southwest Pacific HQ:

B-24J trashed Makassar airfield. B-24D,D1 oreder to attack Miri oil at night did not fly due to bad weather.

Southwest Pacific HQ:

B-24 Nigh attacked Miri, this time base was defended by 30 Irvings and raid cost me 9 B-24 for 4 Irvings and no damege to oil. :(

200 B-25 and B-24 flattered positions defenders of Madjene.

Central Pacific HQ:

5th fleet carriers are still around Biak, not enemy activity after yesterday.
1st wave almost unloaded, 2nd will arrive soon. Total one regiment and 300 eng. squads. I would like to have base ready for operation (AF LVL 3) in 5-6 days.

Turk still is bombed by B-24 from Kavieng.

South Pacific HQ:

9 BB, 4 CA and over 20 DD started daily shore bombardments of Rabaul. It will continue a few weeks when I am waiting for Wolei invasion force.

B-25 are still continuing bombing Rabaul airfield.

I-23 damaged and probably sunk by DD Hull near Aitape.

Southwest Pacific HQ:

After yesterday bombing Madjene I have suspected that Maritin will setup CAP trap over the place. Well, I was right.
Base was swept three times by total 94 F6F-3. Hellcats meet strong CAP: 16 N1K1-J, 5 Ki-43-IV, 9 Ki-84a and 7 Ki-84r.

475th FG visited Samarinda today. 35 N1K1-J and 8 Ki-84a did not resist very long ;)

Total butcher bill for A2A in Southwest HQ for today include 37 Gorges, 5 Oscars and 13 Franks for 15 Hellcats and 8 Thunderbolts. 2.3:1 not great result, but with my current fighters pools I can take it. :)

First attack at Madjene did not go well but result shows light at the end of tunnel.

Central Pacific HQ:

5th fleet carriers closed Sorong airfield for cost of 10 TBM-1C and 4 SB2C-1C.

Turk still is bombed by B-24 from Kavieng.

South Pacific HQ:

9 BB, 4 CA and over 20 DD are continue shelling Rabaul.

B-25 are still continuing bombing Rabaul airfield.

No time to update on daily base right now:(

Southwest Pacific HQ:

159th SEP Regiment captured Madjene and now is advancing south.

41st US Divisions supported by combat engineers unit, tank battalion and two arty regiments landed at Balikpapan.
Base is defended only by 16th IJA Regiemnt and Sasebo 3rd SNLF. Others Japanese units are moving fast towards jungle.
Does he really planning to march 65k troops from Balikpapan to Tarakan by jungle ? Base will be in allied hands long time before his column will reach the place.

Central Pacific HQ:

Truk fort reduced to 0 but still hold. IJA Division reduced to 50 AV. It should fall soon.

Biak port level 3, airfield level 4.

Invasion force for Woleai is loading right now in Kavieng. Invasions should start in 3-4 days.

My recons from Biak just finished scouting his main parameter. It is a lot of troops, even each small atoll has 20-30k troops ??? This must be serious cost in supplies as most of them are overstocked.

South Pacific HQ:

Rabaul garrison reduced by 10k man during two week long constant shore bombardment by over 40 warships, this number include 11 battleships.

Southeast Asia Pacific HQ:

British and Indians divisions crossed river to Prome with just mirror damage to troops. 50k defenders evacuated city very next day. Now we are advancing towards Rangoon, defended by 35k troops, and towards Pegu to cut off comunication to Japanese troops around Mandalay. Australians are crossing river one hex west of Mandalay, hex is undefended.

Game did not progress a lot due to Martin absence.

Southwest Pacific HQ:

41st US Div captured Balikpapan and next Samarinda. I am unloading engineers and over 500 AS at Balikpapan right now. 96 Spits were moved there at 27th and now base has it own CAP.

Central Pacific HQ:

Truk fort reduced to 0 but still hold. IJA Division reduced to 0 AV. And still hold :(

Biak airfield level 5. 347th FG(P-38H) moved there, soon they will sweep atoll in range. Base is defended by 3 USMC squadrons with Hellcats.

Woleai invaded with some adventures. Carriers were delay due refueling, so landing happend without air umbrealla. Martin's response cost me DE Wyman and damaged AKA Alhena, APA Neville, LSI(L) Kanimlba.

Americal Division shock attack was very costly, however it was not as costly as combat report shows. It should be ready for next attack in 4-5 days. Most of squads were disabled I have lost permanently under 20 squads and few devices.

Martin send one tinny CM under strong fighters umbrella towards my carriers, this "low" trick cost me 15 F6F and 5 DB.

Southeast Asia Pacific HQ:

First attack at Rangoon reduced fort to level 4. I should be ready to repeat it within 3-4 days.

xAK Meiyo Maru sunk by SS Puffer near Kompong Trach.
SS Scamp damaged by IJN destroyers near Fukue-jima need return to base.
SS O23 damaged by IJN SC Ch 13 near Culion need return to base.
PB Sensan Maru sunk by SS Cero near Balabac. However Cero needs return to base due damage.

Generally I would like to point out that I am running a lot of subs patrols in areas where Martin can noticed my activity easily. Main reason for such tactic is force him to use a lot of fuel and supplies running his ASW.
I believe it was one major mistake made by Nico in our game to not harsh my communication lines with his subs.
This allowed me to not run any ASW activity and run convoys system without escort till late '44. It does not matter that I can't hit anything, it is important that Japan is wasting fuel hunting my subs.

That last report on Truk was bombardment, not deliberate attack, correct?

It must be frustrating after so much time grinding down the fort that you can't (yet) get the final victory there.

SC Ch 48 probably sunk by SS Permit near Iwo-jima.
SS Trout lightly damaged destroyer Yamagumo near Nakadori-jima, still able to continue patrol.
SS Hackleback damaged by destroyer Umikaze near Tawi Tawi and it need head back to base for repair.

Central Pacific HQ:

Biak was swept by three groups of N1K1-J at 41k altitude. Base was defended just by two USMC figter squadrons.
12 Hellcats form VMF-215 at 20k altitude and 12 Hellcats from VMF-441 at 16k altitude. Marines pilots did well destroying 10 Gorges for 9 Hellcats and 1 KIA, 2 WIA. It was complete surprise for me, 347th FG was resting after sweep day before, simply because Martin did not sweep any my AF over 5 game months already.

Truk defenders are still fighting back ...

It was 754th Tank Battalion charge. Well not really, I do not have huge plans for Truk now. Mine main vector of advance lead towards Davao to connect with Southwest Command. Truk, Guam, Saipan, etc are just training ground for my Divisions. No rush time schedule here. 1st and 2nd Marine divisions and 754th Tank Bn are now ~90 exp.

I imagine you have taken some losses with the Marines. How badly will the experience drop when they get rebuilt? I've never gotten far enough for serious combat and surviving troops.

That sounded like a bad start even before the division showed up! [:D]
