Purchase options???

Post by dbw1 »

Good day. When buying a boxed edition where is it shipped from? I.e. USA, Europe? Cost of shipping. Are both the deluxe and collectors boxed edition currently available and will the DVD have the latest version? I can purchase on steam for less but would like to have disk and printed manual.....this looks like a simulation that could have my interest for a long time.
Many thanks for any responses.

I just bought mine from Warfare sims year or so ago..... Downloaded the game… And receive the hardcopy a few days later… It is an amazing simulator game… And I have been totally obsessed with it since I've got it....

Greetings. Thanks for the reply. I traded a few emails with Paulo in support and followed up with a purchase 30 minutes ago. Hopefully it gets shipped out asap as I'm on vacation for the next month on the beach in CA with really slow internet....so I won't be downloading. Looks like a great sim with a potential to keep my interest for quite a while.

Thanks again. Next step is to get into the beginner material once I locate it to get started. From the little I've read the initial learning curve is on the steep side so I need to get prepared to get over that hump. All in all it does look addictive.....

Don't think it's so much a hard learning curve as it is a "you learn something everytime you play". It is quite easy to just send units off to do something and hope they succeed, but it is very deep and as you play you learn ways to improve and succeed a lot more. Micromanaging is your friend, but it isn't a requirement. :)

Tried a few time yesterday and today to download but the less than great internet here makes it a nogo. So I'll be waiting for the boxed version to arrive hopefully this week. Looking forward to getting into it.

I just got it last week as well. It's actually not that hard to play, there is just a ton of info to learn. But less then a week after getting it I have a decent idea what I am doing and have already almost finished my first scenario, which was my reason for getting the game in the first place! :) Having a military sandbox is like a video game dream come true.

I've downloaded the manual. I think this will take more than a little while to get the hang of.....

Dont forget to check:

and

Those are the Manual addendum and the Mega FAQ. [:)] Cause they keep improving things so much the manual might not always be correct anymore! But it's a good thing cause it means there are even more improvements [:D]

Tutorials...is there a source for a real simple mission or two to get your feet wet? Somewhere to pick up the nuts and bolts of giving commands to get things rolling?
Thanks.

There is a few tutorial missions. Quite simple and helped me to get the basics figured out. Honestly the best way to get the hang of it I found is watching youtube videos of the game.
