China is starting to lose ground on part of its fronts against Japan. Except in the North where some counter attacks are having some succes. But its clear China cannot fight Japan alone for the long duration. The peace between USA, GB and Japan means China is all alone in its fight.

Gibraltar has fallen.

Our Soviet allies identified a portion of their front that could use some shoring up, and we sent formations to help them in their time of troubles. This included the Polish leadership cadres who took their place in the line against the Germans.

We need the formations ourselves, but if the USSR falls nothing can save us. Probably nothing can save us anyway, but having allies fight by your side has to fell better.

July 1940 Germany/Italy

Sweden Joins the Axis.

Von Weic Moves the Spanish Command to North Africa.

Guderians newly formed 10th Panzer Army Advances towards Leningrad, bypassing fortress Minsk.

The 4th and 7th Panzer armies swept north after crossing the Dnieper and took Kiev, a frontal assault looked unlikely to succeed not without several months of grinding attrition. This releases the central armies to spill into Eastern Ukraine.

Chinese forces suffering huge losses under Japanese onslaught in the North.

Highly experienced and large air formations combined with recently arrived Medium Tanks II are killing the Chinese as we speak.

China is requesting urgent aid from the USA. At current speed of defeat China will be completely lost in about 10 rounds.

(question: is it actually possible in this scenario to transfer technology to allies?)

Desperate greetings,
The Chinese Command

August 1940 Germans/Italians

The Germans are suffering from a lack of certain equipment types to deal with the hedgehog Soviet defense, this deficiency is being rectified but in the meantime its fairly painful progress with each strong point requiring huge resources.

The Italians are slowly making progress but like the Germans early war losses are having a impact on their ambitions.

The USA are pushing submarines up against the German mid Atlantic naval pickets this is causing naval warfare on a small scale.

The primary British focus is on the defense of the Middle East, and Africa. The Italians are approaching Tripoli, and the Germans are following from Gibraltar. Great Britain is getting ready to engage the enemy, hoping to slow the pace of Axis advances.

Britain is aware that every action we succeed in taking will help the USSR in their time of troubles.

Sept 16th 1940 German/Italians

Better progress was made against the Soviet Fortress that is formidable but not mobile, Minsk and Kharkov fell, makes possible options for other strategies, and opens the way to Leningrad Stalingrad and of course Moscow. The Luftwaffe and ground artillery assets were enormous to crack these defenses, these will have to be repositioned.

The Italians took Malta releasing the British grip on the Mediterranean a finger at a time.

Great Britain regrets the loss of the heroic island fortress of Malta.

We prepare for the onslaught.

Japan asked what the situation looked like in the west. I forgot to answer, so I will take this opportunity.

Germany is very, very strong, and Great Britain is very weak. An important reason for this is the taking of England, Scotland, and Wales by the Germans. More for them, less for us. The Germans resources for building aircraft and ships was much enhanced. The USN and RN are pretty much staying away from the German controlled waters.

On land watch the progress of the border lines in the USSR and North Africa.

Germany and Italy October 1940

The Germans completed operations in the Kharkov area securing the Soviet coal fields for the rest of the fronts it was repositioning for the next phase, and since the Soviets are in fortified positions all battles are set pieces, and improvised battles are rare.

The Italians and Germans continue the Advance across the North African desert, this is a long haul the Italians lack the naval power for Naval hops, so its the slow steady ground movement.

Istanbul was assaulted by the Italians the Soviets held on by the thinnest of margins, not much now remains of the defenders.

The Chinese have joined the axis powers!
Although it does not result in immediate support, the morale of the Chinese army has improved knowing there might be help if they hang on long enough.

I see an African people group as riflemen in the Russian 426th, under command of the 3rd Army.

British ?
History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

Shock for the Germans on the approach to Tripoli squadrons of the same Churchill I's that the Germans encountered in the UK, looking back behind these Tanks we see movement along the roads heading we guess towards Turkey and North Africa. No defending Asia for the British they intend to make a fight of it much further to the West. Bravo!!

December 1940 Germans and Italians

The Germans take Stalingrad and commence the siege of Leningrad, raids on Moscow and the encircled Odessa in a effort to damage ground forces and draw out the red army fighter cover had mostly success.

Greece was the target of German and Italian airstrikes the last pro western minor power in the Balkans must have expected this.

@Jeffery H.

The British sent British, Polish, Indian, African and more. They fought in the Karkov area and this might be the last remnant. They were not many but they tried their best, under the Soviet flag.

Only a small holding for in Tripoli now.

The Axis has resources, and we are going to take a hit to some naval forces left exposed.
