Ps German intelligence officers told that CW, France and US will react even if Poland is taken. Time to attack!

WAR IS DECLARED.

The US take some notice but press attention is diverted by the latest run of the NY Yankees, so the furore quickly dies down (US Entry roll 6, 1 chit).

For all the German posturing over Poland, the opening set-up comes as a bit of a surprise to Allied intelligence. The Poles deploy to meet the German attack (?).

Looks like the Little Bavarian Corporal is in a hurry to head west.

Germany has been extremely lucky with planes!
2 Stukas and all good LND3 they go on the map! Without those pesky and bad old planes as the Ju86!

S/O 1940 Axis 1

Japan and Germany land, Italy Combined.

Bf110 fly to North Sea box 2.

Italian transporter sails to Red Sea and picks up supply unit.

Polish has major force in Danzig, Germans are trying to neutralize that threat.

In China Chengchow in under heavy bombardment.

Does China want to intercept?

EDIT: 20% chance to happen, not that rare.

Japan rails HQ and MIL from Manchuria to Taiyuan.

Question before land move: Does Czechoslovakia count as home country for Germany? So if Polish unit enters Czechoslovakia, does Germany get +0,25 production multiplier?

I believe Czech is annexed or counts as a minor that cooperates (in fact Germany cannot deploy new units in there), and not as "Greater Germany"

In map it reads Czechoslovakia (Ge) and Austria. No (Ge). So in think the same. But Germany can set troops to Czechoslovakia (At least to Sudeten areas).

What I mean is that a reinforcement unit cannot pop in Prague or Brno, thus I doubt it counts as Germany homeland for production purposes if Poles are into it.

Edit: Just checked, it counts as an Aligned Country.

Thank you Cohen.

Japan occupies empty city of Tungkwan. USE roll 10, no reaction.

Germany attacks Lodz (+18,5)
Japan is committed to take Chengchow and attacks (+4,8 before HQ support and +6,3 with HQ support)

If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

Japan is sending minor ground support. Does China want to intercept?

EDIT: It took this long when I started to regret this attack. Should have waited for Yamamoto...

Another question: Does Allies choose assault in both combats?

I'm not sure about that Polish set up?
Conflict with the unexpected: two qualities are indispensable; first, an intellect which, even in the midst of this obscurity, is not without some traces of inner light which lead to the truth; second, the courage to follow this faint light. KvC
