West-1981

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

What really impressed me was the airbone mechanized division... imagine that: an entire elite airborne fully mechanized (IFVs) division with arty and tank destroyers ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2S25 ) landed on the rear lines...

Impressive when the armored vehicules fall from the sky...

I've seen a old photo somewhere with a BMD managed to nose dive into the ground - I assume its rig snapped on the way down

Alex, quick question, there was a rumour that soviet army used live chemical weapons during its exercises - any truth in this?
