DCA Mini-Ex 2012 Youtube Series

Post by BunyapSims »

This is a short series covering Tomcat84's DCA Mini-Ex, 2012 scenario that comes with the community scenario pack. I take a different approach from what you saw during the Fighter Weapons School scenario and attempt to set up a completely automatic air defense over Denmark. There will be no micromanagement at all. [:)]

The series should come out to about four videos and they will be available here as soon as they are compiled.

Just saw part one, very nice! Looking forward to seeing how it plays out! You did seem to get your alamos and archers mixed up though :p (archer is the short range IR missile)

Looking forward BunyapSims. Fighter Weapons School AAR was excellent.

Doh! Good catch. I even looked them up to double check before recording and still got it wrong. I hate Russian weapons. :)

Thanks mikkey & jbaxter. I hope you enjoy this one.

Nice!

looking forward to see all hell break loose :)

2 things:
- At the end you can actually see a lot of contacts are emitting, look by them and you'll see the "Slot back" white text. I think you just happened to press one that wasnt.
- Also you can actualy assign aircraft to missions from the air ops screen, there's an assign to mission button at the bottom so you dont have to go back to the mission editor per se

The great videos made me play through it myself, it is a very good small scen.

Lost one F-16 and managed to shoot down all RED aircraft. I set up two, not three CAP missions, with bigger areas.

Watched number 4 yesterday. One note: I think after the first wave you were trying to tally up your kills/losses at that point, dont forget you have the score/losses & expenditures window, you can easily see your amount of missiles fired, losses and kills.

Looking forward to the conclusion!

Nice to see the final part online! Welcome back :)

Sorry to say that the eastern fencer circling is an error in the scenario itself with the trigger setup not changing its mission. My bad! [:(]
