I was impressed by the NoDak contingent in Boston myself. I mean your whole population is what-600,000? That there would be that sizeable a contingent that would want to schlep cross country for support of their team is impressive. I expected a huge Boston contingent / turnout (go figure for a tourney in Boston [8|]).

So, hockey guru-who's going to take home all the marbles?

Hockey is a religion here. That first penalty was toal bullsh*t against Poolman (Grand Forks boy) in the frist period. And another iquestionalble n the 2nd. That gave Boston the moment they needed. The Sioux battled back in the 3rd. It just wasn't enough. Losing MacMillian to and broken kneecap blocking a shot about a month ago didn't help. Still proud of the team.[:)] A few idiots around here want coach Hakstal out.[8|] In his eleven years years. 11 playoffs. One runner up in seven Frozen Four's, add also four regional. Best ever in that time frame in college hockey.[:)] Seven national titles since 1959, third best.[:)] Most conference titles of all college hockey, fifteen.[:)] A little down, but there is next year.[:)] Like ESPN say's "It isn't the Frozen Four if North Dakota isn't there".[:)]
Plus the NHL keeps snapping up our players after one or two years. The NHL calls us the cheapest farm club in the NHL. And so it goes.[:)] But hockey East is getting stronger. NCHC is still the strongest. But how long is this going to last? Or has it already arrived?
 
With the oil, we finally went past the 700,000 population mark. First time since 682,000 mark in 1936. Grand Forks was the 2nd largest city. Looking at dropping to 4th at 58.000. Fargo, Bismarck, Grand Forks and Minot. Respectively. Still a great place to live. Went to Best Buy today after work. I went inside for about 20 minutes, left the keys in the ignition and windows down (55F today[:)]), no worries.[:)] As we say "-35 below keeps the riff raff out."[:)]

Courage, Odin. Life is always better than the alternative. Whether we achieve great and noble deeds in our lives is so much less important than whether we lived 'good' lives and impacted the lives of others. Chin up, mate.

Fodder, one of the problems is not only obtaining a high post count - but in ensuring that each and every post one writes is informative or witty or in some other way a mini tour de force. It has not been easy for me to reach over 21,000 posts, especially as every single one is a literary masterpiece in its own right.

But do not despair, there is a much easier and quicker way of achieving those longed for 5-stars. My advice is to do what Chickenboy has done. In order to quickly reach 5-star status simply follow his MO. Bombard various forums with mindless, childish, pathetic drivel that takes only a second or two to write - and requires no skill or thought in the process.

You'll be there in no time [:)].
