BFC MrWhite and Map Making

Post by MrWhite »

Well White has this shinny server one of many out his server famr and uses it as a public friends game type place, so I'ld like all that wants to join in on there and see if you meet some people play some games, talk shop or get help? From me, hehe that's a bad idea, but I figure the servers empty 90 percent of the time so why not get some more fun cool people out there. So I'll get a room setup over there on my BFC server for Steel Panthers and anybody who wants to can hop on there wait for a game, have some fun, drink a beer... German Beer that is...

In any event put this address in yuor BFC address box and it will take you to the server...
www.darkclown.com

On another note, if I can stop trying to do a dozen things at once, some day that is, I might find the time to get in the editor and do a complete, well as much as my brain can handel, a complete Pacific Theater Campaign... My first Trial run is going to be the lives of the First and Second Raiders. Just to get my feet wet... Is there any buddy wanting to play maps like this?

I figure I'll throw in a Wake and Midway map what if thing to, just becasue those two would have been interesting if just small things happened... What if Wake didn't surrender and the communications weren't broke, could they have fought them off?

What if landing craft were able to amke thier aproach into MidWay what kind of action would be seen? Some of it's brutal when I put my minds eye on Midway. Over 2500 Inf from Japan were ready to pounce on one of the most Densely defended pieces of property in the Pacific. Of those 2500 a 1000 to 1500 were SNFL. So I really would like to see what would ahppen there...

Ohh well I'm getting ahead of myself... So who wants Hard Core Nud... Uhmmm I mean who wants Pacific SP action :)?

Well, I would. What-if battles are good, legitimate use of SPWaW ;). And infantry action is really exiting.

Yeah I'm going ot try to do it as well as I can... I've been researching specific troop strengths and historical records to get a good feel. Wake i personally want to see re-done I honestly think that Wake could have held, under a diffrent situation of communication being held.I mean at the end the Americans were pushing the force off theisland when the commander under his own little amount of info decided to surrender.

So I'ld like to see some cool outcomes, a lot of light tank and inf fighting... Some fun stuff...

I second the motion for more what-if battles.

MrWhite...YOU are the man!

I hope you will do it. I have a Pacific Campaign half done on the Japanese from 1941-1945, but never had the chance to complete it.

We have a small Pacific campaign on Tulagi done by William "Conqueror" Rusco that is a lot of fun to play.

Then there are a number of Pacific scenarios, including some Raider ones, already in the game, Edson's Ridge, Viru, and Gavutu-Tanambogo.

But we need more. The Pacific is my favorite theater of operation in WW2 and I hope you can carry it through.

By the way, there is a pretty nice map of Wake Island, the whole island in the maps section of your SPWAW game. I personally know the guy who made it ;) and it came out pretty good :D

Yeah I was looking at it, it's rather well done, my hats off to the guy. I'm working on griding out MidWay, after reading what was on MidWay it just makes me want to do it... The RAiders and un Godly amount of 20mm to 37 mm guns...

Not to mention 7 in 5 in and 3 in naval guns...

Hell they had a tank platoon on there...

I figure Makin would be a fun one to do as well, we all remember Gung Ho right hehe..

Well there are a lot more, wish I could delve more time into it, but I have lots of other games I work with hehe, life of a beta tester...
