2 Units Lost When CRT Called for the Loss of 1 Unit

The CRT called for the loss of 1 unit. The Germans were forced to lose a second unit in addition to the airborne unit lost because the Germans didn't take the hex. Shouldn't the airborne unit have satisfied the 1 unit lost called out by the CRT?

Game turn prior to the land combat roll. To repeat the above results, set die rolls, roll high to miss the fractional odds (i.e., >200) and roll a 7 to get the combat result.

Probably as this was a Blitz attack, so the first loss must come from an Arm, Mech or Mot unit, and then the Para is also lost since the hex was not vacated. Had the French been forced to retreat, then the single loss would have been enough, as the hex would have been vacated.

Sorry! I misread the earlier posts. I just checked the rules and I could find nothing that dictated that, in a failed attack, the paratrooper unit would be lost in addition to any other losses, so... this does appear to be some sort of bug! I've never encountered this one [not that I'm an expert - just been playing a lot lately, and I've tripped over a few others, but not this one]. Weird!
