The Soviets cross the Yellow river to the West of Tsingtau. Pusan falls only a large encircled force of Japanese remain on the Korean peninsular. The Soviet armies in Korea are on the move to central China.

Germany has accepted the Soviet offer of Alliance, removing the possibility of a German Soviet meat grinder, and allowing those resources to be used in other areas.

The stark consequences of the Russo-German pact are staring the British Empire in the face, France is down to a
single occupied hex in France proper. The Germans are free from worry about the Soviets and the Germans and Italy
are moving to counter the Allies in Spain.

How did this all go so terribly wrong. The Americans are fighting as Japanese allies against two nations who should
be fighting versus the Axis.

Great Britain and the Free French will struggle on, but with Germany and Italy free to concentrate on us the task
will be so hard.

The Soviets re crossed the Yellow River after being thrown back last month, the Elite Soviet forces from the Korea are yet to arrive but they are not far away, efforts were made to reduce the two Japanese pockets, these met with success. The Chinese report a increase in Japanese pressure in southern China a attempt to destroy the Chinese army in this area.

Going to have to replay this turn not all of it just the first air attack, that was as far as I got, the aircraft did not return to base they were just eliminated, because the hex was overstacked ? not sure how.

This turned into a bad turn for the French and British when my overstrained eyes let me click on "Coup" rather than
"Discord". It was purely a mistake, but no way to recover it.

My eyes were probably full of tears from the defeat of my Badgers tonight, though it was a great game.

In any case the rest of the turn was about as expected.

Here is a shot of big trouble heading for Spain and Portugal :

December 39 Soviet Union

The bridgehead across the Yellow River survived long enough for the armor from Korea to cross, allowing preliminary shelling of Kaifeng and the destruction of Japanese concentrations of troops and armor on the South bank. The Heavy Artillery to the west of Tsingtao was mostly destroyed, these guns were causing enormous damage to the funneled Soviet forces.

Badgers Wisconsin, SC Wildcats surely[&:]

Kaifeng is captured and returned to the Chinese, the Elite Guards tank units have made a decisive difference in the battles South of the Yellow River, the Bridgehead has been expanded and Shanghai now looks a viable objective. Only five Chinese cities remain in the hands of foreign powers, these powers should note that they either withdraw from these Chinese cities or they will be kicked out.

The British have invaded the Continent. The Allies now hold Brest and Amsterdam.

In the Med the Royal Navy found significant units of the Regia Marina, and gave and took about equal losses in small unit actions in the Adriatic.

The Soviets have crossed the Yangtze taking Wutan on the south bank, Tsingtau is now cut of with a mixture of Units from various Armies surrounded in the city, with no source of supply.

Georgii Zhukov has taken command of the 2nd Soviet Army and control of most of the Soviet armor.

China launches one big assault against the Japanese north-east of Hanoi. The territory is gained but a big cost. Still, we have to show the Russians that we're not just along for the ride.
The Japanese really appear to be faltering badly on the Chinese mainland now.

Shanghai was assaulted this month this was at the end of a long drive from the Yellow River, for some units the city was lightly garrisoned so it is expected that city will fall next month, the forward elements of the 2nd Soviet Army reached the British protectorate of Hong Kong to cut what is left of Japanese China in half.

France and Great Britain have new fronts to contest as the Italians have taken Arabia. The Regia Marina is
operating in the Eastern Med while the Royal Navy is busy in the Western Med.

The RAF bombed multiple targets on the continent. We raided Antwerp's airfield killing some night bombers. We
considered leaving a force there but decided to stick with Brest and Amsterdam.

Here is a map of the European coast.

All Chinese cities on the mainland are under the control of the Chinese, one pocket of Japanese remain west of Wuhan.

The Soviet Union will remain as long as China requires, once we are not needed the Soviet Union will leave.
