Zoom on map not working.

Post by kirtapbun »

When I try to change the zoom in any way the map gets distorted. I have a laptop with a 1366x768 screen and the latest patch.

Thanks for the report. I'll have to look into this. You can probably play with zoom if you change the resolution before you play to something that is evenly divisible by 4. We fixed the problems with 1366 in most of the graphics routines in the 1.0.1 patch, but it seems I forgot to fix the problem in the code that zooms the map.

Hi kitrapbun,

Could you please also post a screenshot of what you see when zoomed at 1366x768?

Here is a screenshot when zooming. The previous problems I experienced with distortions on the introduction and setup screen buttons and lack of full screen width are sorted by the update.

Ironclad, yes, that does seem to be a bug. But at the same time, you have to admit it looks pretty cool.

Gtx 660ti, 347.88 driver, no crossfire or other bs. Tried running in compatibility mode windows 7, tried running in 6 different resolutions. My first guess is something in my graphics must be turned off...anti aliasing? Is it dx11?

Could it be your DPI setting perhaps? That's a common culprit of graphical issues if you run anything other than 100%.

I had assumed it was just an outstanding unresolved issue for 1366x768 screens rather than a cool bug.

Glad this is resolved, we'll investigate whether we can make this dpi-independent.

I believe we may be able to use the installer to launch the game with 100% dpi.

Thanks it worked with 1360x768, no problem zooming. But otherwise the distortion problem remains even with default 100% dpi.

dpi issues can try this if they wish for a temp work around, then say if it worked for them or not
