Perfect success! I was prepared to take 1-2 units in losses.

J/F 40 Allied 7

France declares war on Italy. The US isolationists get a brief moment of glory in the press (6 rolled, 1 chit removed).

USSR, USA, CW and France Combined. China Land.

Force H, less an empty CV heads to the North Atlantic. Do the KM wish to intercept?

Force H settles in the North Atlantic 3-box.

CA's York and Exeter each load an Inf Div at Malta and sail to the Italian Coast 4-box.

The French sail 4BB and 2CL's into the West Med. Do the Italians wish to intercept?

The CL Diaz attempts the intercept. On a 9 it's a bust. The French task force stops in the West Med 3-box.

The US sends a sub out to the Pacific and brings 2 Trans back to the West Coast from Pearl.

There's quite a list of potential naval combats.

First, the North Sea. A CL in the 1-box initiates searching. The Allies don't add any air. how about the Luftwaffe?

I open proceedings with the usual crud search roll for my side (8). This looks like it will be painful when the Axis rolls a 1. What boxes do the Axis wish to engage?

I choose box 2 only.

I use 2 points to decrease your air to air factor. Bf110 will fly as front bomber. NAV will clear trough first if possible.

I will abort/destroy your fighter first if possible. No need to ask if I want to continue after first round of air to air combat, I do ;)

Let's see what happens, then I decide how I use rest of my points.

Edit: I have no fighter, so your bomber goes automatically trough.

First round of combat. The P-40 was aborted on an 8, while doing nothing in return (13 rolled). The Germans used surprise points to reduce Allied AA to NE. The CL Leipzig survived an abort, rolling a 9, while the BB Barham took a D, rolling a 3.

Both sides stay for a second round. It looks like it will go equally badly for the Allies when they roll an 8 to the Axis 1. What do the Axis wish to include this time?

Box 2 again, both planes as bombers. I use points to negate your AA and rest of the points to increase damage.

The Allies have another go at aborting the Leipzig, which succeeds on a 5. Axis damage is increased to 2D. Where do they wish to place the first D?

The Valiant saves the D to an abort. The CL Caradoc isn't so fortunate.

The RN decides not to stick around for a third go, leaving the North Sea in possession of the Germans.

Over to the Italian Coast and a CL in the 2-box initiates searching. The Allies don't add any air. Do the Axis wish to add anything?

The CW commits subs but it makes no difference when they roll a 6. Axis 2. No combat.

With just an Italian sub in the Red Sea, the CW pass on this area.

To the North Atlantic. A CL from the 0-box initiates searching but Allies 4 and Axis 9 means no combat.

The French pass in the East Med.

In the West Med a French CL initiates combat. Do the Axis wish to fly the He-112 in support?
