Disappearing Infantry

In a PBEM game I'm playing I had two fullish strength units defending PM as allies. They both had assault strengths in the 90 range.

The next turn I had one defending infantry unit. I checked adjacent hexes and they were not there. No transportation missions were active. I checked the full units list and they weren't there either.

Combat in the turn in question amounted to a few hundred casualties and no victories or defeats, no retreats etc.

One full infantry brigade just disapppeared.

I can provide saves and password if anyone wants to investigate.

Ok U2, done.

Btw, there was some transport involved.

Dakotas were transporting the 7th Aust Brigade to PM from Cairns.
On the turn the 7th brigade disappeared the very last element was being transported( some 300 odd support) and was intercepted by zeros.

Seems to be a pattern developing.

I have seen something similar. I was air transporting Allied Inf. into Buna by air for two-three turns. Then I changed over to transporting supplies by air. That turn all of my unit disappeared! I found them in Brisbane! My PBM opponent suggested they did this because of starvation (in 2-3 on day turns).
