His air campaign has suppressed my uboats well, but being caught at the edge of escort range is whittling the bomber force down. The largest flight of bombers I saw was from the 8th, and that was only 500 bombers this turn. He did start hitting more peripheral targets this turn outside of Germany with Bomber Command. They are hurting for bombers and NF's. Since the .33 patch, it doesn't pay to fly unescorted, or to the end of your fighter escorts. Of course you have to fly to suppress the subs, but I'd do it only when the points started creeping back up. Once January hits and he has enough escorts, the bombers should be fine. Although I'm not sure if the NF's will ever recover.
I wished I'd taken a pic of last turn. The allied horde attempted to invade Taranto, which had a fort in the hex, which made it a Fortress. Well the Brits took the hex, with enough TOE left to not rout, then in my air phase my tacb's took both divisions down below 10% TOE, and when I moved an infantry regiment next to Taranto, they all routed to Crotone. Moral of the story is, don't assault fortresses. Most of the time you bounce, but those two divisions were high moral and even took the city, but the fort won the battle, imo.
His forces are making their way up the toe. I had to get my regiments out of Reggio, and he caught my move and promptly took Reggio, so he's already on the mainland. This turn I created 5k casualties just from air attacks. I'm not planning on holding there much longer, but I also have to watch out for the 5 other TF's that didn't invade around Taranto.
