Question on Capitols

Post by Uncle Lumpy »

Hi, Can you change Capitols or Regional Capitols to different locations in your Empire? Earlier in my game I was able to build two Regional Capitols. Now near the end of the game my Empire has expanded beyond their influence on corruption.
I once heard there was a garage, which some said was air tight.

Can't you just destroy the facility, then build it somewhere else?

If I remember correctly, you can designate which planet is your empire's capital world from the colony list. I think there's a button in there which says "make capitol" or something like that; click it and the selected planet becomes your new capital planet.

That only works for the empire capitol though, regional ones have to be destroyed and rebuilt.

There is nothing in my statement that should suggest to anyone who reads the whole thing that it applied to anything other than the imperial capital.

Thanks everyone for all the responses. I understand about the button to change the capitol of my empire. My current capitol is pretty much dead center in the galaxy, so I probably will not change it. I have three regional capitals, two of which were established when my empire was much smaller and centered. Now in late game their locations are not as advantageous. In my next gaming session I plan to destroy them, as suggested above, and relocate them. If I experience any problems, I will post them. [:)]
