Change sides mid game?

Change sides mid game?

Is there anyway to change the side that you are playing in the middle of a game? i.e. having played as the Central Powers flip over and play as the Entente instead?

I have played enough now that I know I can beat the game (<12 months for the Entente on hardest difficulty, ~18 months for the Axis). But what to see if I can turn around a losing side before each of the countries capitulate.

Is there something in a save game I can toggle to change the side that is being played (or some other method) for this?
