Units disappeared in a save

I am playing Japanese campaign, currently in Java (taking Batavia) scenario. I was doing very well, but after I loaded a save, I noticed I am missing 75% of my units. They are just not there at all. Is there anything I can do about it? Both autosave and end turn autosave had the same corruption in them.

Attached is the save game file, if it is of any help in bug-hunting.

I've managed to fix your savegame, but I wonder how the problem occured. When loading the save it tried to create two ground units on the same hex, which causes a failure. In the screenshot below - taken after I "hacked" the savegame - the Dutch unit was actualy sharing the city hex with your infantry.

Any idea how this happened? Was your unit ambushed trying to move to or through this hex?

I do remember seeing during one enemy turn, that the town was occupied by infantry unit, and then another enemy infantry unit moved to it - so two were on top of each other. I thought it was a graphical glitch, and because I pulled back, the fog of war covered the town and when I returned, there was just the 1 enemy unit present. Weird.

I don't suppose you have the auto save made at the end of the turn before this happened?
