I am going to be off-line for a short while so feel free to take decisions for me on this game. Same rationale as before. No holding back. Navy stick around to the death, care with re-basing of aircraft on Eastern Front.

I forgot to write that both searches in The Western Med was unsuccessful. (Allies 9, Axis 4)

The night bombing of caused some damage.

The Germans pull back in the southern Ukraine/Bessarabia

The impulse ends.

No declarations of war.

USSR and CW take a combined impulse while France take a land.

No Port Strikes. No naval air.

USSR send their submarines out into the Baltic Sea. CW send the liner from Gibraltar to Liverpool.

CW decline to search in the Italian Coast. CW initiate combat in the W Med but neither side find (Allies rolled 5 and Italy rolled 9). USSR search in the Baltic sea but miss the German convoy (USSR roll 8 while Germany rolled 9).

CW bomb Naples and Taranto.

The Italian war production in Naples suffers some damage.

CW rail Wavell to Lorient. Zhukov is railed to Ukraine.

No land combats.

CW rebase a fighter to Gibraltar from a transport in Cape St Vincent. USSR rebase a fighter and a bomber to Ukraine.

No reorganization.

End of turn roll was a 9 so the turn continues.

Unfortunately with fine weather since the weather roll was a two.

The Germans take a Combined, the Italians and Japanese a Land.

The Kriegsmarine put to sea in the Baltic. I assume the Soviet submarines do not want to counter?

There are three ground strike attempts - north of Leningrad, Chisnau and Harbin.

- Harbin. The attack is by 3-quality D3A2. The Soviets can bring in a 4-strength fighter, the Japanese - 2 5-quality.

- north of Leningrad. The attack is by a 2- strength Foolhardy Finnish Fokker in a Fokker CX. I cannot see the Soviets can counter.

- Chisnau. A 2-strength Romanian IAR37. Both the Soviets and Germans can get a 4-quality unit there.

What do the Allies want to do?

At Riga three units of the Kriegsmarine provide shore bombardment to bring the odds to 7:1 no modifiers

At Harbin the odds are 4:1 no modifiers, Do the Soviets want to use Timoshenko's HQ Support?

The Soviets have a 3-tactical quality bomber that can be intercepted by a 5-quality fighter.

At Chisnau the Soviets have three bombers and the Germans have one 4-quality fighter.

In Southern China the odds are 3:1. The Chinese could bring in a fighter (as a bomber) which would change the odds by one. The Japanese have a 4-quality fighter that could intercept.

The Japanese and Germans both try HQ Support as well, but no further aircraft are engaged. HQ Support works for von Rundstedt but fails for both the Japanese and the Soviets.

This leaves the attacks and odds as follows:

Riga - 5:1 Assault Table
Chisinau - 4:1 Assault Table
Harbin - 4:1 Assault Table
China - 3:1 Assault Table

Riga - Fractional odds take this to 7:1 and a throw of 5 is enough to evict the Cavalry.

In Chisinau Fractional Odds also help the situation, increasing the attack to 5:1 - but the dice throw is 3 and at a cost of disorganisation, the Germans manage to destroy just one Garrison.

At Harbin, the Fractional Odds increase the odds to 5:1 but once again the dice prove soul destroying to the Axis cause. A 4 means all attackers disorganised (and the Manchurian Offensive finished before it even got started) and just one Militia destroyed. The only saving grace is the Shattered result which at least means the city is re-taken.
