If you haven't already read PANZER BATTLES, by F.W. Von Mellenthin, you might want to pick it up.

Von Mellenthin was on Rommel's staff in North Africa and Balck's on the Eastern Front. He also saw action in the Battle for France and the final battles of the Western Front.

The prose is very fluid and his descriptions of the North African and Russian campaigns should be a great value to scenario designers.

I agree, I read the book and its a great one from the German POV.
