Plane art Help

Post by DOCUP »

I am working on my own mod. I have added AC art. At first I had no planes show up. I deleted both Allied and Jap tops, and reinstalled some generic tops for both sides. Now I have some messed up Allied planes and no Jap planes.
What am I doing wrong?

thanks

Have you read the attachment to post #1 on this thread below. MichaelM describes the structure of additional aircraft art. It should contain all the information you need.

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=2405660

Personally I would leave the default art alone and add the new plane side and top images as separate image files which will be displayed instead of the default. It's all described in the "Single aircraft images" section of MichaelM's document.

Best of luck.
Cheers,
Reg.

When you get the hang of aircraft art, you might like to have a look at my Revolving Artwork Manager available from:

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=3529896

It will set up a revolving art installation for you from a set of master images. All documentation included.

Examples of the tool outputs can be seen here
(The aircraft images in the "1941/All" column are displayed in place of the defaults for the whole game - unless overridden themselves).

Have fun,
Cheers,
Reg.
