Fueling at base - 2 hours?

Post by Hurricane144 »

If I land an aircraft at a land base just to refuel, why does it take a couple hours?

The simple answer is that the game doesn't model aircraft as landing only to refuel (as this is rare in practice). Once a plane touches down it goes through the procedures needed to re-launch a mission of whatever type its loadout involves.

Ok fair enough. I read some of the article, it was good. I guess we can always use tankers if we want to keep a plane fueled more quickly.

You can do it like in real life and set up surges, but nothing is as simple as a refuel to begin with.
