If he thinks about what he is doing, he will withdraw.

He's got time on his side, there is no need to rush.

He has never withdrawn. Never done a ploy. It is straight ahead with the most he can bring. It is how I managed to trash him so badly during the Java campaign.

I think he has infinite faith in his fighter pilots...even with his carriers down 200 planes, I think he keeps topping off the CVs from the CVEs...I will find out more tomorrow.

He has to leave some of his bombers on naval strike, but I fear he may well move his deathstar to the east to avoid having Hirosaki and Ominato within range effectively moving away from great trap at Hirosaki -- which I guess is ok since it will mean all the destroyers will live for the blitz tomorrow.

I have been careful to maintain search along his supply line, and haven't spotted anymore ships yet.

I would really like to knock off some carriers tomorrow, because I think his plane strength is right on the edge of a mountain, a little push, and everything will come falling down and his ships won't be able to run away fast enough.

Still no turn back?

Not everyone is up at 5am Jocke!

And it's night in the US still, so unless he's like you and wakes up to run the turn, we may have a few hours left here waiting. [;)]

And?

Carnage? Armageddon? The biggest let down since someone stuck a pin in a 1/50th scale inflatable Yamato?

In the half moonlight of the night, the midgets are the first encounter.

A midget encounters another task force, but is scared away by the escorts before she can fire. Look at the ships.

One hex east of Kushiro, where the first midget encounter happened above.

The Long and Pennsylvania fire at the Motor Launch, which dodges, zigs and zags back to 2000 yards, prepares to launch torpedoes, and is obliterated by a direct hit from the Pennsylvania.

Hopefully their sacrifice won't be in vain!

One torpedo is a dud, but we put the hard working Long down, and get a few 25mm hits on the cargo ships.

one MTB boat is lost.

Nice work! Not often you see MTBs/PTs hit something. Even less so Japanese ones! [:D]
