He is using small part of his para units to capture my bases. It is very nasty tactic in my opinion but well can do the same to him later :D.

That is a very nasty tactic, but you are right that the Allies can return the favor an order of magnitude greater!

21st Light AA Regiment arrives at Aden

Forts:

Madras expands fortifications to size 2

I have find out location of mini-KB, it is now east of Leyte. There was sight of it on Celebes Sea. I had 2 SAG ready to action on Sulu Sea and one on Celebes see, all were set to intercept possible mini-KB at full speed. It seems to me Castor has noticed his mistake and use full speed move to run away.
My SAGs are heading south now to refuel.

Two IJN destroyers engaged that "big fail" convoy next to Davao and sunk more shis. Now convoy is moving, but with all ships crippled there is not hope. So it seems than I will not save anything form Manila Harbor except a few subs and 3 old destroyers. :(

CL Jintsu intercepted my supplies run for Singapore, all ship down, however supplies were delivered. Now I have 600 AV behind for level 3 with 100K supplies. I hope it is enough to hold him until March. My suspicion mind says me that otherwise I will have early India invasion. Bad news is that two brigades are cut off on Singa and I will probably fail to get them to base before his landing at Mersing.

Singapore was swept by Oscars today, however my pilots had rest day ;)

At Singers I think if you get to 800-900AV you can hold a while. Under that it's tough against a player like Castor especially, who knows how this goes.

By the way I like your new AAR style. The losses for air and ships at top is nice. I may start doing that. I used to put losses at the bottom and I've gotten out of the habit. The totals each turn really give a good picture of the progress.

Allied air losses: 13 [total 182], Japan air losses: 21 [total 169]

Well, all 3 my SGAs were engaged by Nagato and Mutsu with support of six destroyers on they way to refuel. Battles did not goes well for allies navy.
Boise and two destroyers are sunk, most of ships are damaged and are set head back to safety. PoW and Repulse were little to far to react. Just another bad day.

However on the sky over Singapore some sight of hope show up. I looks like he decided to withdraw 3rd and Tainan Kukotai. The base was swept again by two Oscar's Sentais and this time it was working day in Singapore airfield's gentlemen club ;) 13 Ki-43 down for 2 Bufallos and 2 H81-A3. We are getting better there every day. Most of USAAF squadrons avarage experience is over 50 and closing to 60. Similar situation with British and New Zelands units. However it seems to be problem with Australian pilots. They refuse learn as fast as they British and Americans friends :( Soon I will be able hold even against his navy fighters :D

Additionally Dutch units managed to hold Japanese at Sambas. But there is hopes for hold them more than one or two days.

Enemy paratroopers captured Kulong. Rail line to Singa was cut off anyway, so it does not matter now. My two Indian brigades are force to walk south anyway, and a few paratroopers here or there is not issue for them. The only problem is his landing at Mersing, however it did not happen today either. So with every day my chances to get out of Jungle are increasing little.

Oh, and he again bombing Rangoon, I need just one fighter squadron more.

Just very bad day:

At Singers I think if you get to 800-900AV you can hold a while. Under that it's tough against a player like Castor especially, who knows how this goes.

By the way I like your new AAR style. The losses for air and ships at top is nice. I may start doing that. I used to put losses at the bottom and I've gotten out of the habit. The totals each turn really give a good picture of the progress.

[font="Courier New"] Thanks for good word. I know that 600 or even 800 AV is not a lot, but I am hoping to build forts up to level 4 or 5. So, all my hopes are in forts level. That is the only reason for engage him in sky over the base. It is clear to me he want to eat Singapore fast and goes somewhere else. He is completely ignoring Philippines and Pacific direction, I think this mean India adventure. Right now I am still confuse were should I send one free US Division and 18th Brit Division.

18th Brit Div. needs to fill out its TOE, so I would put it at Bombay where there is lots of supply production. With the rail network you can move it anywhere in India fairly quickly. Ceylon is a trap until you can get enough air and sea power to keep the IJN away.

The US division goes wherever you are most worried about the Japanese arriving, are able to supply and able to fight against a determined invasion. There are several places in SoPac that you need, key cities in Australia, and industrial cities in India like Madras and Calcutta. Karachi is important to quickly land reinforcements from Aden. My choice would be Adelaide or Melbourne for now, until you see where his offensive is going.

Allied air losses: 6 [total 188], Japan air losses: 1 [total 170]
Allied pilots losses: 0 MIA, 2 WIA, 0 KIA [total 3 MIA, 44 WIA, 24 KIA]

Allied ships losses:
no ship losses ??? Impossible !!!.

Reinforcements:
183rd Field Artillery Battalion arrives at Tacoma
110th Cmbt Engineer Battalion arrives at San Luis Obispo

Forts:
Singapore expands fortifications to size 4
Suva expands fortifications to size 2
Adelaide expands fortifications to size 1
Brisbane expands fortifications to size 1
Melbourne expands fortifications to size 1
Perth expands fortifications to size 1
Port Augusta expands fortifications to size 1
Kunming expands fortifications to size 2

Castor finally decided to land at Mersing. 34 units, well this can problem.
This rather confirm as I suspect that he is planning overextend, otherwise not reason to send all to capture Singapore so fast.

36 Oscars swept empty sky over Clark. The last squadron there is on training mission.

4 Kingfishers escorted by 4 P-26A scored 2 250lbs SAP hits on Japanese destroyer
Harukaze. Pilot's report suggest that ship is on fire.

And Dutch units at Sambas did not hold even one more day :D.

I am organizing Java defence. Main point of resistance will be place in mountains at Bandoeng. I have learned hard way that urban hex it is not enough to hold IJA for while.

Force Z and Brit cruisers are heading back to Soerabaja for refuel. US navy ships were send down to Darwin, I have there some fuel.

I have 9 Dutch subs at Mersing and around no luck at all. Lot of D3A on search mission does not help. I have sent a few fighters to provide air cover for my subs. But result are not as good as I had hopes. Just one dive bomber down by air cover and in return I have got heavy fatigue level for involved squadrons :(.

OK, As advised 18th British Division is going to Bombay right now. 41st US Division is moving to Cape Town. 24th will be moved to Suva and 25th US will be moved to Sydney, of course all this will happen when I will have enough PP to buy them out.

Training camp for army pilots is set at March field. There is over 200 fighter pilots and 150 bomber pilots training now.

Training camp for USMC is set at San Diego, 100 fighters pilots and 200 bombers.

However still not way to train US Navy pilots :(

Whole IJA Army is marching towards Kluong, so not more hope for 2 Indin brigades. Well played on hus side with paratroopers. I have played so many time with this practice forbidden by house rules that I forgot about this possibility.

Now, I am thinking about seeping Mersing with 200 fighters located at Singa :D

Supplies convoy for Manila did not run fast enough. I was intercepted by 4 cruisers supported 4 destroyers. So no more supplies for Clark, 80K I have there right now must do it.

Another big raid over Rangoon. I need that fighter squadron !!!.

You will soon get some new Kingfisher squadrons on the USA WC. These fill out fairly quickly and you can use them to train USN fighter pilots.

He swept Tandjoengpinang today, it seems that he was hoping that my CAP is not at range 0.

I understand completely as it is the same issue for me. Professionally speaking from a graphics standpoint serif fonts are the bane of legibility. They harken back to the days of old English when manuscripts were hand copied by monks who strove to create as flowery looking a type of script that it was possible to create.

Modern sensibilities have stripped away the floweriness from life as every thing is now streamlines and devoid of ornamentation. The "Modernist movement in architectural design represents the hallmark of the trend away from ornamentation.

So, while Obverts offer for a solution is appreciated, it is the font that inhibits legibility that is the greater issue for me, not the size.

I have no expectation that you should alter you choice to placate me.

Please carry on. [:)]

Ha! Not sure modern(ist) sensibilities have completely won this battle yet!

Post-modernism certainly brought a bit of ornamentation back.

It's interesting that almost all printed books still use serif fonts. I find these easier to read over the course of a lot of dialogue.

Courier of course is neither serif or sans-serif but a monospaced or fixed width font. These were originally designed for typewriters, which could only move the same distance forward with each letter typed.

Now they're commonly used in most coding as well.

"Even though computers can now display a wide variety of fonts, the majority of IDEs and software text editors employ a monospaced font as the default typeface. This increases the readability of source code, which is often heavily reliant on distinctions involving individual symbols, and makes differences between letters more unambiguous in situations like password entry boxes where typing mistakes are unacceptable."

default font will be OK ?

Don't change the font!!! [X(]

Hans, just increase the size of your browser window! You can make that font as big as you want it. Control + does it. Or command + with a Mac.

After two control+ clicks it's this size. Plenty big.

[font="Courier New"]It should solve problem ;) I am using Courier New font. It's my profession issue that I can tolerate only proportional fonts :D[/font]
I got some eyes problems and I find very difficult too to read this low contrast fonts. But maybe I will be soon banned also from this AAR so the problem could be resolved [;)]

Mr. Kane-

Could you please now add orange color to the font?

*chuckling*
