Turn 15 GHC Armaments: 70,000 Manpower: 34,000 VP: 200

Armament Pts. Destroyed = 43
Heavy Industry Destroyed = 9

Stavka KIA: 2,380,000 Stavka OOB: 4,452,000 ( -265,000 ) GHC OOB: 3,517,000 (+3,000)
AGN gets a break through and isolates 6 divisions flanking some of the defenses of Leningrad. Coupled with AGC Panzers moving west of Moscow Stavka has some new things to consider.

AGS forms another 10 divisions pocket, Russian resistance is very weak. I am guessing all replacements are going north of Oka. All hasty attacks down here. I can keep pocketing to the north or to south. Did a HQBU just to the south of this SS.

Turn 16 GHC Armaments: 70,000 Manpower: 34,000 VP: 200

Stavka KIA: 2,509,000 Stavka OOB: 4,538,000 ( 87,000 ) GHC OOB: 3,518,000 (+1,000)
AGN this is all about getting these rough hexes before winter. I did 3 HQBUs last turn and you can see how close the railheads are so I will have 35+ MP’s until mud or snow hits. 5 divisions are cut off at Lake Ilmen and a possible large pocket is going to form unless he pulls back. I love a pocket but I will take the hexes for now as it will greatly shorten my lines. I am sending my 2 MT divisions to hold the lines during winter near Leningrad. Hoping for 1 or 2 clear and 3-4 snow turns as that would be more then enough to sweep the area clean.

AGC I have finally gotten close to a railhead with 1st PG. I would like to clear this area to the Oka which is possible as Stavka is feeling the heat in several areas.

AGS has started prepping for blizzard. I have a solid front and simply need to march east make contact. Once blizzard starts I retreat 2 hexes per turn 1st months then 1 hex 2nd and none 3rd. IF I could push him over the river would be great. I be sending down 3 or 4 PD to sit in citys to help if needed.

AGN mud, but center snow so Leningrad is cut off. November will be snow or blizzard 3 turns so I have a good shot at dropping it. Moved all my SU¡¦s out of AGS and parts of AGC. They will all be in 4th PG and 16th Army. Moved all the LW under AGN also. I will wait until November to finish off the pocket as after November 1st you have to play to make new units. Start the AP crunch early this game ƒº. I will have both MT divisions north of Lake Ilmen so the lines will not move come blizzard if I do not free the Fins.
I have a 2 deep FZ wall built south of Stalino and 40 miles to north. The center will flex as always as below Oka is there for the taking come summer. I think random weather is the way to go when your playing a better then average SHC player. Sure non-random is nice for early 41, but long run random is much better for Germany.
I have alrdy sent back 75% of my SU¡¦s to Germany, it important to save AP during blizzard. I will put my best 9 infantry in citys same for tank divisions. I put 3 tank divisions in Stalino to run out and hit and run. All the elite MoT¡¦s will be near the front same for whats left of other panzer divisions.
This will be my 17th blizzard so I really don¡¦t expect any surpises.

Just want to say this is the best game I have had in a dam long time ( smokendave ) most of the old timers have moved on. yes your still here M60.

I really expected this to be an easy game as chaos had so little exp playing WitE, but hes done some stuff not many have tried.

if the weather had been a little different and he had not been so over confident at a few critical times, I be in a shit load of trouble.

Anyways based on my past exp, I believe I have the upper hand right now.

That could all change, but only time will tell.

PS forgot loki

Pelton vs smokendave Russian OOB: 5,937,000

Over all I say I am in a good position as Stavka is weak over all, stronger then the people that never get this far but weaker then the ones that do.

AGN did not take Leningrad so operations were a failure over all in the north.

I did take heavier losses but also have more industry to show for it....that might be telling in the long game. The last pocket was the nasty one between moscow and the lake, most preventable on my part and lost basically 2 entire armies of well trained troops that would have been great to have in blizzard.

As right now i have plenty of manpower just short on armaments so hopefully that extra 15 or so armaments points I saved will make for the thousands of troops i paid to keep them lol.

Dave lost far more and the only down side was in 43 getting the train rolling.

42 your in the same boat basicly because you have to rail them ect,
the up side will be 43 so you might possibly be able to start pushing sooner.

The down side of the heavy losses is your Blizzard Offensive will probably be weak at best,
so I am not going to miss the Fins as much and I can house my units on the back end of the blizzard not front end.

Another massive plus for me over Dave/others is I didnt lose the north at all...so you will either have to launch a dedicated campaign again in 1942 for the north if you want it. An I have all winter to dig, dig, dig and put warm bodies in trenches in crappy terrain. As the north is not the same terrain as south of the OKA. So far im happy with my blizzard offensive I have enough guards units from all the heavy fighting im slowly making inroads in even your center defenses which will over time hopefully generate more guards.

Leningrad is equal to roughly an infantry BDE per turn in Manpower every week I hold it, esp since I also still have Novorissk.

I was surprised you pushed right up until the blizzard I figured if I didnt retreat u couldnt take those cities but u had me rolling alot of guts checks as SHC.

My 1941 Strategic Objectives were to prevent you from taking Leningrad, Moscow, and Rostov at all costs...as well as maintain an effective Soviet Army. I achieved my city holding/territory objectives but the Red Army was abit more worse for wear than I would like. Going to be an interesting 1942.

Been through allot of blizzards and one should never stop attacking as your gaining morale, hexes and causing loses to enemy.

Stopping and building a line simply lets SHC grow.

Everyone I have played builds guards during blizzard that's normal game play
