Unit Information Screen 8.2.1

Post by Dante Fierro »

8.2.1 UNIT INFORMATION SCREEN

"Clicking on a specific unit's name will bring up a new screen for that particular unit.

In this case, we have selected the 13th Indian Brigade, an infantry Unit. The 90/100 indicates the total number of non-disabled (ready) and disabled elements as a percentage of the units TO&E."

OK. Now if I translate this into english (my first language which I assume I still understand) I get ...

-90% of the "elements" in the unit are not disabled
-100% of the "elements" in the unit are disabled

I'm not always the best at math, but WTF?

PS: Looking at the actual snapshot of the unit information panel provided I cannot even find the so-called 90/100 number.

Help?

90/100, 90% are ready to fight, 10% are disabled

So that means 64/86 represents a unit that has a total strength equal to 86% of TOE and 64% of the 86% is able?

I was never clear on the whether the first number was a percentage of the second number or a percentage of 100% TOE like the second number.

Hmmm, looks like it's time to get out the calculator ... er, my virtual calculator on my computer. I mean all those years of math should be worth something? Good question Hans.

It means that it has 86% of its TOE, and 64% of its TOE is able. So 74% of its actual elements are able.

Likewise 86/86 would mean 86% of its TOE, and all of it functional.

But what about the other foot? Suppose it's missing a toe?
